Around 1841 Havercroft Green got its new name, formerly being called Havercroft Close. At the top of the green overlooking the pond is a World War 1 Memorial to commemorate those from the local area who fought in the War. Popular for it’s stunning West Yorkshire views that reach all the way over to Emley Moor, Havercroft green is the perfect place to come for a relaxing walk around the pond, or a picnic on the stretch of green near the War Memorial.
