New Project- Pontefract Hermitage & Dispensary!

New Project- Pontefract Hermitage & Dispensary!

On Saturday 20th September, we gathered stories and memories for a film and digital interpretation of this unique Pontefract site. And, for those that didn’t know the site, there was a free drop-in to find out more and see our ‘work in progress’, with an exhibition of images from the site, drone footage and a Virtual Reality glimpse into the hermitage. We filmed some interviews and let visitors explore our co-produced video game ‘The Hermitage’ (where we worked with young people inspired by local heritage, with lots of creative licence!).

Story Forge at summer s’cool

11 brilliant young people (aged 13–17) from Wakefield came together between 18th- 22nd August at summer s’cool Wakefield, to create something extraordinary: a dark video game inspired by local heritage. Over just a few days, they: wrote the game’s narrative and story, designed characters and concept art, built 3D models, levels, and gameplay mechanics and crafted a soundscape and promo materials! The result? A playable prototype game full of imagination, teamwork, and innovation. It’s been an amazing week and we can’t wait to share updates as we build towards launch on 6th September.
