Breaking the Chains of Addiction
A documentary film exploring stories of recovery from alcohol & drug addiction
Breaking the Chains of Addiction is a powerful and emotive film exploring the complex and challenging experiences of substance use and addiction. The film sensitively tells the story of life-changing journeys of recovery told by people who have lived through it with first-hand accounts.
Through three parts, Beginnings, Addiction and Recovery, the participants candidly share their stories. All different, but all detailing the desperate isolation, loneliness and despair of the nature of dependency. They speak of what led them or loved ones to their addictions and how they reached a point when they were ready to seek help.
Breaking the Chains of Addiction was commissioned by West Northamptonshire and North Northamptonshire Councils and produced by One to One Development Trust in conjunction with Northamptonshire Combatting Drugs and Alcohol Partnership. This is a sequel to 'Streets of Change' about homelessness that we produced last year.
